Our Family
We recently traded Pittsburgh winters for sunshine in Sarasota, Florida. Between sports practices, school, and everyday chaos with three boys, travel has become our favorite way to reconnect and explore the world together.
Around the Wards started as a way to capture our family adventures — the big trips, the unexpected moments, and the lessons we’ve learned traveling with kids.
What began as photos and stories for friends and family quickly grew into something bigger: a place to share ideas, inspiration, and real experiences for families who want to explore more of the world together.
Because traveling with kids isn’t always perfect — but the memories make it more than worth it.
Mom (Becca)
Creative spirit, artist, and fearless traveler. Becca is the one who finds the magic in every destination — from hidden beaches to perfect sunset dinners.
Dad (Rich)
Trip planner, logistics master, and believer that every adventure should include at least one slightly crazy idea.

Roman
Always ready for the next adventure. Whether it’s swimming with dolphins, exploring caves, or jumping into the ocean, Roman is usually the first one in and the last one out.
Asher
Curious, fearless, and always up for something new. Asher loves exploring new places, trying crazy activities, and making every trip an adventure.
Theo
The youngest of the crew but one of the boldest. Theo brings the energy everywhere we go and is always ready to dive into whatever adventure comes next.
